Okay, I think I have found a new addiction Virtual Quilting Bees.

Hi, I just joined my second virtual quilting bee. This is an International Round Robin plus some journalling. This sounds like it is gonna combine my two hobbies: quilting and scrapbooking. We are to create a block and send it to one participant who will add to the block and journal about the addition etc and that participant will send  the block on to another and another etc until you receive your block on the final month of hte Round Robin. Plus you get to read about the creators and their lives. Sounds like a blast!

Wedding Gift # 1

Hi All, I just completed one of two  wedding gifts. We are going to two weddings at the end of May. My 7y/o daughter is going to be a flower girl in one of the weddings. This is her third time at the job. She is so proud of  meeting the task.
This lapquilt is the first wedding gift completed. The bride's favorite color is Pink.  Hubby-to-be is in Army ROTC and soon will be sent to boot camp. I figured a loving lapquilt can keep the Wife-to-be warm when her sweetheart is away. My prayers of  happiness for them are sewn into this quilt.

Michele from the Hive

Wow, Michele from the Hive of Not Your Grandma's Quilting Bee has a great idea. She is gonna create two quilts. One that all of the Hive members are going to help her create with the blocks we send her. YAY!! The second will be from her own stash, she will re-create the blocks she sends out to us so she can commemorate The Hive. I think that is a great idea. I am gonna try that too.

Not Your Grandmas Quilting Bee!!!!

HI, I am now a member of The Hive. The Hive is a group related to NotYourGrandmasQuiltingBee  .  The Hive is the third group in this bee. It is a virtual quilting bee made up of 10-11 quilters who will make quilt blocks for each other and send them all over the USA and the world!!!! There will be a flickr group to see the quilt blocks each of us made for the other person. We start to sew in May of 2010 and end in April of 2011. I want to shout out to Jeremy for organizing this bee. It is really appreciated. Thanks a heap!!!

Hi- this is a new blog for me.

My blog used to be lawyer, quilter, scrapbooker ohmy! I then had to deal with problems due to past surgeries and chemo so I stopped blogging. Now I want to start again. It is fun.
